I think it is essential for photographers to attend training and continue their education! There is so much to learn every day and even if you knew everything today, tomorrow there would be more to learn!!!! So, I am officially noting that we will be closed March 16th through March 21st to attend some major workshops and classes in my field. A week with more photographers and friends? OH YEAH! Bring it on baby!


I know it will be a blast! And.... I hope to come home with some awesome and incredible ideas and knowledge!

I swear I have the prettiest clients! I know I promised a couple images from the gala and I failed last night to post anything, but I have been sooo busy that I can barely take a breath!

Another photo from the Gala. Suite 16 is being filmed in Maricopa and I thought I would grab the girls for a quick shot before they headed out to sell raffle tickets! Aren' they cute? All of them are musically talented and will be doing a lot of community service here in our little city!

This marks the third filming of a tv program we have had in our city since we moved here... and well TWO of them have been on our street. ACK! haha OH WELL!

I think that the third annual Against Abuse Gala was a success!

The amount of people there just willing to give to such an incredible cause is just unbelievable! And to top it off it was a blast to attend!


Everyone was dressed up so lovely and of course Torri was a huge HUGE huge help with EVERYTHING! (I still don't know how you keep your composure! haha) Thanks for being a lifesaver Torri!!!!!

A night filled with fun dancing, auctions, dinner, and all raising money for a good cause. Saturday night will be a blast! I can't wait to get dressed up and see everyone all in their formal attire! YEAH!

Hahah! I LOVE outtakes! This is hilarious! Little Joel is just learning that sharing is NOT as fun as mom and dad say it is. He is telling his cousin NO!!! You cannot have my candy! Haha NO KAYRAE GO AWAY! Just wait Kayrae! YOU will feel this way when YOU have some competition too! :) I bet they really play nicely together! It would be sooo much fun to have cousins so close in age!

I can honestly say that maternity sessions are just a BALL! ;) A vision of lovliness and perfection. Isn't God's miracle of life just amazing??

If we had only known that talking about garbage and the trash man would evoke so much emotion and such laughs for Joel and us silly adults we would have brought it up sooner rather than later! Tonight I was shooting a 5oth birthday party... and I wanted to take a pretty picture of the horse at the Duke. Well... and did anyone see the moon tonight?

You know... it is funny. I sit here and work at nights till 2am most nights and never really think twice about it. This article really made me think, you know? It really applies to all of us that have worked and educated ourselves in the field of photography. Whether there is a degree involved or just years of dedicated work to become a professional photographer. It's more than owning a digital camera.

So this is dedicated to all my photog friends that work as hard if not harder than I do to make their images stand out from the rest and make this not just a job, but a passion for life!
