Getting caught up??

I think not! I am trying to get prepared for all the seniors here in a couple weeks. I got to guest speak at the high school today with the students in the yearbook class. They look like a solid group of young adults. I hope they can pull together and really get something awesome going! I really think they can!

Yearbook really excites me! Being as involved as I have in the past with MHS and my own high school years, my formal photography training and journalism experience really gets the juices flowing again for getting involved! I can't wait to see the incredible book they put out this year!

Diana made these INCREDIBLE baby booties... all hand sewn of course. They were just to die for! The talent and imagination that this woman has is beyond belief! I can't wait until her business takes off, she will be a hit!

Duderbugs officially opened today! If you are like me you have been DYING to get a resale shop here in Maricopa! I have already even put in my first purchase/donation!!! hahahah They have a great variety and LOVELY staff members!

Meet Diana

Diana Santana is a wonderful lady with a big heart. She is the one that has been making all the hand made/beaded bags I have been posting. Today was session two with her and we took some headshots. I got to meet her lovely son and we chatted a bit about her business and then did the shots. She asked me not to remove too much of her silvers or her lines, because she said she earned them!

I can't post the sessions I have been working on lately.. sorry boys! hahaha So here is another purse. I can't believe how talented this woman is!

Product shots...

This woman is amazing. What an incredible talent she has for making these delicate Native American bags! She makes anything from baby booties to full blown Regalia. Each bead is hand sewn one by one and each back is hand stitched with loving care. She doesn't even own a machine. Each piece can go for hundreds and even thousands of dollars.



This piece is called "The Obsidian Bear" and each piece comes with a name and a story attached. Diana Santana is AMAZING... this piece took her a little over 6 hours to complete. I know I couldn't do it!

A little something different.

Today was a birthday party, so I bet you were expecting cake? Haha. We got the amazing relighting candles for the cake and my five year old was NOT pleased. :) So tonight I thought I would post a photo relative of the four legged kind. Meet Riley, my niece. Then I posted a not so bueno photo of Charlie... my nephew. He is the one that looks sad :)

Today is my daughter's birthday! I am only working a few hours today and I am caught up on ALL my baby sessions! (Yes, even yours Andrea! I will be sending the email today!) And I can't wait to get started on my product photography!!!!!!!

Mom! Hahaha... She was being three months old... and in a new and different environment. I sure loved getting to rock her to sleep though! Thank you for that! I need my baby fix sometimes!!!! hahaha

Oh my!

Hehehe... I almost forgot to post one tonight. This has got to be my favorite picture of this session so far! This baby had such porcelin skin and such beautiful eyes! I hope you like this mom and dad!

I am sorry I didn't post on the blog last night. I was up sooo late working on a newborn session and JUST had to make collages and birth announcements. Oh how I love babies!

Tootsie Love

I love babies! I can't wait until my maternity planners all come back with little wrinkly bundles of love! Here are some newborn toes!!!!! Oh my! I love babies! The whole process of pregnancy is just amazing and the result is just the most awesome experience!!!!

Saturday! I have one of my baby planners coming in... 3 months already! Can you imagine?

I swear I am going to just paint these blocks so two in a row aren't the same color anymore!!! Isn't it great that we can do this stuff with modern technology and yet we have notta one paint brush to clean up afterwards!

Tonight I am hitting the sack AGAIN before 1am... hopefully I will be feeling better tomorrow. I need to work on my custom logo for my velvet stickers but I just am NOT in the mood! What does it take to be creative around here? ACK!!

Not feeling well!

Ack... I am trying to get caught up with all my work and trying to feel better after being attacked by a killer UTI!

This family was soo sweet. I wish the session had been easier for the family, I felt sooo bad! I hope that these two will at least help tide them over until I get them done!

Precious Moments....

A very lovely mommy to be came in to see me today! Her and her husband were just as cute as can be... Baby is not due till September 16th, but I know mom and dad are just thrilled that it is getting closer so they can meet!
